My Nail Art Society packages arrive in black bubble mailer envelopes.
You always get a card telling you what's trending in the nail art society. This card is featuring amazing manicures brought to you by ES Nails, from Los Angeles.
You also receive a tips and instructions card for this months featured items.
This months featured items has a lot of magnetizing appeal.
These gorgeous swarovski crystals, in a cute little flower container, add a sparkle to your accent nail.
I'm stoked about this Stella Beauty Products tweezer. I seem to be a collector of bad tweezers, so I'm very glad to have a quality pair that works for both my unruly eyebrows and applying the swarovski crystals to my nails. However, when I took the tweezers out of the package, I got cut by some sharp ridges hanging off the side. I have no idea what it was, but I had to file it off before I could safely use them. Hopefully this was just a fluke, and it isn't that way with all the sets.
I love the Cherimoya nail art brush. It's the perfect shape to get into detail or create stripes and tips. I appreciate the quality, many nail art brushes I've used in the past lose their shape before you've even finished your mani. There's a reason I only take pictures of my left hand ;).
The absolute best item in the package is the Layla Magneffect nail polish in Changing Lilac. I've been dying to try a Layla product, but they tend to be a tad out of my price range. Ranging from $12-$20 each.
To use the magneffect nail polish make sure you have:
Your favorite base and top coats as well as patience and a steady hand.

Start out with your favorite base coat, allowing it to dry completely. I am using China Glaze Strong Adhesive Base Coat
Apply one coat of the Layla Magneffect polish and let dry.
Apply second coat to one finger and a time IMMEDIATELY hover your finger over the magnet getting as close as you can without tapping your nail.
YOU WILL tap your nail, trust me. When you're first using magnetic polish it takes a few attemps to properly figure out the magnet to nail ratio, but you'll get the hang of it. Practice makes perfect.
Hold your nail over the magnet for a few seconds( 1 Mississippi, 2 Mississippi 3 Mississippi...) and you should have a gorgeous 3d manicure!
The top of bottle tells you which direction your magnet will create the effect.
Lather, rinse repeat for all your nails. Finish with your favorite top coat. I used China Glaze Fast Forward Top Coat.
Try this:
Use a striper brush to create zebra stripes or tips. And use the swarovski crystals on your accent nail

Here's the completed product! I'm pretty happy with it.
Have you tried magnetic nail polish before? Have you (or will you) joined the Nail Art Society? I'd love to hear from you. Leave a comment here, or find me on twitter @carynakacare

Montagne Jeunesse Face Masque
My face feels clean and fresh after using the Montagne Jeunesse deep cleansing clean up mud face mask. I only used half the packet as it's pretty thick, but smooths on very rich and creamy. I left it on long enough for it to dry and then just washed it off in the shower. Make sure you apply your favorite lotion afterwards as all mud masks tend to be drying.

Goody QuickStyle Brush with Microfiber Bristles
Goody QuickStyle Brush with Microfiber Bristles. very interesting brush. It works though, only took my ridiculously thick hair an hour to dry instead of the 2 to 3 hours it normally takes. I don't like using blow dryers, I tun into a poodle. I like how fast it dries my hair, however after using it for about a week I have noticed my hair is quite a bit frizzier than normal.

EBOOST Natural Energy
EBOOST Natural Energy in Pink Lemonade is quite tasty. I'm a big fan of Emergen-C for when I'm starting to feel a tad sniffy and sneezy but Emergen-C has a bit of a chalky taste the Eboost brand Energy supplement has no chalk taste and no buzz and crash affect. I'll definitely repurchase this product.

OPI Mariah Carey Liquid Sand Nail Polish-Swatches and Review
Heya Dolls! I'm so excited to share you my thoughts about the new OPI Mariah Carey Lidquid Sand Nail Polish Collection.
I've been waiting, quite impatiently, for this line to launch, ever since OPI gave us a teasing sneak peak a few months ago.
Remember this?
I decided to test the mini bottles of this polish before jumping in and buying the full size , which I highly recommend to anyone interested in a new line, just to try out the formula. The mini size bottles are great space and money savers.
The only problem that I have with the mini bottles is that with the shape of the bottle it can be very hard to get to the important chunky bits that settle to the bottom, or the very last drops to not waste these gorgeous shades. If I could make one suggestion to OPI it would be to perhaps make the tiny bottles a little more like the shape of the China Glaze minis.
Let's hop to the good stuff!
The Liquid Sand has a matte finish, so it dries very quickly. I recommend letting it sit for a few minutes between coats, to keep the sand look and avoid creating a grainy finish. You're ready to run your fingers through the sand, in about 10 minutes.
To maintain the sand effect, make sure you don't use a top coat.
However, a top coat does make a very pretty mani as well. Experiment and see how you like it best.
The Sandy finish is very hard to capture on camera, but you'll get the idea of what it looks like. It feels like you're running your fingers over a piece of soft beach sand , slightly gritty like a nail file. (But, don't worry it doesn't snag on your clothes or blankets.) The colors are very vibrant and POW POW in your face pop of pretty!
This is a close up of all 4 shades. (Please click pictures for larger images)
Starting from the order in the package:
Got Your Number. Got your number is a blue base with silver micro and holographic round glitters. It's quite opaque so two coats'll do ya.
Can't Let Go is a clear purple base and contains small purple holo glitters and large purple hexes. This shade is my absolute favorite in the line, and looks very regal with a gold tip.
The Impossible is a reddish pink jelly polish with hex glitter and adorable stars. It looks red on camera, but it is definitely very pink. It is rather sheer, so I recommend 3 coats or at least two thick coats for full opacity. Also, the stars tend to sink to the bottom of the bottle so I would tip the bottle upside down for a few minutes so the glitter mixes evenly.
In this blurry picture, because let's face it I suck at photography, you get a good idea of the holographic glitter shining on the bed of sand.
I love this collection and I really hope OPI makes more shades of Liquid Sand. I would LOVE a gold color. (True gold, not bronze please). My favorite is definitely Can't let go. I will definitely not be letting go of this bottle anytime soon. (Har har)
I pre-ordered my mini set on Ebay and paid about $12.00 at the time. You can find these at your local Ulta or Sephora stores as well for $15.00)

Influenster Holiday Vox Box 2012!
Hey Dolls! I'm So excited to share my very first Influenster VoxBox with you! I received these products free for testing purposes from Influenster. If you would like to join the Influenster program contact me with your email address and I'll send you a very special invite!
This is everything that I got in my box!
And here is a little information about the products.

I probably won't be using this coupon for $25 off my first purchase, only because I'm really not a shoe girl (Gasp!) and I'm pretty cheap and could never justify paying $45 month for a pair of shoes I would probably not really wear, and have zero room for. But, it's still a great coupon for all you shoe lovers out there.
I hope you enjoyed my mini reviews on my first ever influenster voxbox. I'm so excited to be part of this program and hope you'll join me in the fun!
See ya later dolls! <3 Care
